Press Systems Group (PSG) and GEW have recently celebrated 10 years of partnership together, during which time both companies have enjoyed remarkable success and business growth. The relationship began in 2014 when Jane Tan founded PSG and established a strong presence in the Thai and Southeast Asian printing markets.
Today, PSG is GEW’s exclusive distributor for a vast area in the region, including Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
PSG’s journey with GEW was initially focused on building a solid foundation around GEW’s UV systems. With the expertise of Siam Makacho, a technician with extensive experience in GEW systems, PSG quickly gained a reputation for its technical capabilities and customer service.
In 2016, PSG expanded its offerings by forming Ink Systems Co., Ltd to cater to the ink market. This strategic move further solidified the company’s position as a comprehensive provider of printing solutions. Two years later, in 2017, Press Systems Machinery was established to handle finishing machinery, further diversifying PSG’s product portfolio.
The company’s growth has been highly impressive, with its team expanding from just four individuals to nearly sixty, over the past decade. This expansion has been fuelled by PSG’s commitment to providing high quality products and services, coupled with its strong relationship with GEW. Indeed, Jane Tan attributes the strategic partnership with GEW as being fundamental to the rapid growth of PSG.
PSG’s journey with GEW has been marked by mutual support and collaboration. Malcolm Rae, the owner of GEW, played a pivotal role in the company’s early success by providing PSG with a discounted UV system for a key customer. This generous gesture enabled PSG to invest in new facilities and to expand its operations. Marcus Greenbrook, another key figure at GEW, has also been instrumental in PSG’s growth, providing invaluable support and guidance, particularly in the transition from traditional UV mercury systems to LED technology.
Jane Tan comments: “PSG’s partnership with GEW has been a testament to the power of collaboration and mutual respect. The company’s success is a direct result of its ability to leverage GEW’s innovative technology and expertise, while also delivering exceptional service to its customers. As PSG continues to grow and evolve, its partnership with GEW is likely to remain a cornerstone of its success.”
Marcus Greenbrook, Director of International Sales at GEW, adds: “It has been a pleasure working with Press Systems, from the beginning when the office was at Jane’s house, to where they are now with a large factory and offices, with all the machinery and consumables to support their customers across the Southeast Asia region. Many of their staff members have been with Press Systems from the beginning, and are still very much part of this thriving company.”
He continues: “Jane has built a young, dedicated team that are experienced in all aspects of printing and who are always keen to learn about the latest developments in UV and UV LED. I have seen this enthusiasm once again, during my recent visit to Press Systems for new product training and a round of customer visits.”
He concludes: “We look forward to the next 10 years of this great partnership.”
