GEW staff member and triathlete Birgit Clark successfully completed the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon which took place on 2 and 3 June.
A lot of hard training went into preparation of the event to endure the strain and freezing open waters of the River Glyme. Birgit finished the sprint distance in a respectable 1:42:31 and together with GEW’s contribution succeeded in raising a total of £1350 in sponsorships.
All donations will go to the David Lewis Centre, a charity based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire that provides outstanding education, residential, medical and therapeutic support for young people with learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.
