| We seek an energetic, hard working person to join a small team of staff in our busy Stores Department. Factory conditions are clean and well ordered, with stock controlled by a comprehensive computerised stock system (Navision MRP). You should be numerate and literate and able to converse fluently in English. The role requires you to work on various stores functions which include receiving goods inward, checking delivery notes to computerised purchase orders, unpacking and placing parts to the correct locations, picking parts from bills of material, collating parts for spares orders and packing them for worldwide freight. You will require a counter balance forklift license to operate our trucks within the warehouse and yard. Other suitable lifting equipment is available for moving parts as required, and experience of using such equipment is an advantage. Many parts are, however, moved manually. Our warehouse contains a great variety of mechanical and electrical parts, of every size and weight. You should be familiar with typical engineering components for ease of identification. There may be a small amount of driving required using the company’s pool of small vans, thus a full, clean and current driving license is required. Hours of work are Monday 12:45 – 17:15 and 08:00 – 17:15 Tuesday to Friday. Overtime (paid at 1.5 hourly rate), is requested to cover staff holidays and busy periods. | |
